The Nauru Maritime Port Authority (NMPA) proudly manages and operates the Republic of Nauru’s primary maritime gateway. Strategically located on the island’s western coast, Nauru Port plays a vital role in supporting international trade, phosphate exports, fuel imports, and container movements.

With the Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Connectivity Project underway, Nauru Port is being transformed into a modern, safe, and climate-resilient facility, expected to be completed by late 2025.

Port Development Project

The Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Connectivity Project is transforming Nauru Port into a modern and resilient facility. With construction, dredging, and new infrastructure underway, the project will deliver a safer and more efficient gateway for trade, fuel imports, container services, and phosphate exports.
